Scheduling a flu shot

We will be hosting another traditional Flu Shot Walkthrough Clinic and we have Flu Shot Appointments available.

Flu Shot Walkthrough Clinic : the office is setup on a specific date and time for your family to quickly walk through check-in, your flu shot and back out the door. The staff is only administering flu shots at this time.
Flu Shot Appointment : similar to your well visits, you come at your chosen scheduled time and date to see a nurse to get your flu shot. (To schedule and appointment for both covid & flu, call the office at 616-949-4465.)

The portal is open for registration. You will find that it is much more convenient for you if you register online.

Follow these steps:

Select a Patient and a Visit Type of Flu Shot Walkthrough Clinic OR Flu Shot Appointment
Do not choose a provider (leave the default "Any Doctor")
Once you perform the above steps, the portal will immediately look for appointments ' next week '
For the Oct 1 clinic you will need to change the date range
Type a reason for appointment and pick a convenient time
Repeat this for each child

Please let us know if you need to cancel or reschedule by sending a portal message or calling the office.

If your child has an upcoming wellness visit, we will be happy to vaccinate them and any tag along siblings at their visit!

Get answers to your questions, get some helpful tips from one of our experienced pediatricians about caring for your newborn, and make sure your baby will get off to a healthy start. At Forest Hills Pediatrics we strive to provide excellence in pediatric healthcare where compassion shapes every interaction, integrity guides every decision, teamwork strengthens every effort, and a supportive environment nurtures every child, family, and team member we serve.

We are a large, busy pediatric practice with 13 physicians. Our clinical staff members are expected to assist the physician with clinical needs including triaging patients, taking vitals and histories and administering medications and vaccines. Clinical staff are also expected to help maintain and update the medical records. RN's are expected to participate in telephone triage to the extent their clinical schedule allows.

We now have a SELF-SCHEDULING option. Every evening, you can book select next-day appointments through our patient portal. No phone call needed!

Available for self-scheduling:

**Cold/Cough Symptoms

**Ear pain

**Eye symptoms

**Fever over age 2 months

**Rashes

**Sore throat

**Urinary concerns

Appointment slots will open up late each afternoon for the following business day.

***If you do not see any openings, try your search again under a specific physician and then resume your search under 'ANY DOCTOR'.

If you still do not see any openings, come to walk-in or call the office in the morning so that our phone nurses can help find an appointment for your child. We can always accommodate a sick child .

For concerns not listed above, please call our office so our nurses can determine next steps.

If you need to cancel or need to reschedule, PLEASE call the office or send us a portal message with at least 2 hours advanced notice. Our no-show policy is also in effect for these appointments.

If you are requesting an appointment LESS than 1 HOUR notice , please also call the office to confirm, as your appointment may not reflect on our schedule that quickly.
