Appointments

  • Well Child Visits

Did you know regular well child visits are one of the most important things you can do to keep your child healthy? Well child visits also provide you with the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about your child’s health.

Your child should have a well child visit at the intervals listed below. We recommend that you schedule your next appointment as far in advance as possible to best fit your needs. Our schedule is open more than one-year in advance to accommodate your family's busy schedules.

Keep in mind that high school, and often middle school athletes, need to have a sports physical AFTER April 15 of the ensuing academic year in order to participate in athletics for the upcoming school year. We will include a sports physical as part of your well child visit. If your child has already had their well child visit and, according to your insurance rules they cannot be seen for another well child visit, then we can offer a Sports Update for a $50 out-of-pocket fee.

  • Sick Child Visits

We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office as early in the day as possible so we can do our best to accommodate your child on the same day. We also have our walk-in clinic available every morning for new, acute concerns.

If you have urgent medical needs during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.

  • Virtual Visits

We offer Virtual Visits but find their utility limited and often have to resort to an in-office visit. Even 'visual' things like rashes often need in-office visits to touch and feel the rash, examine for other accompanying symptoms and take bacterial or viral cultures of the rash. The majority of our Telehealth visits are used for Behavioral and Mental Health.

If participating in a Virtual Visit, please be sure to close other app's on your phone, have a good WiFi connection and be in a quiet place with good lighting.

We insist that any participants in a virtual visit not be driving.  If you are in a vehicle please plan to be parked during your visit.

  • Walk-Ins

Walk-in appointments are available Monday through Friday. These are on a first-come, first-serve basis and only for new, acute concerns of established patients. If your concern is of a more chronic, long-standing nature, you will best be served by reviewing your symptoms with one of our nurses and making an appointment with your Primary Pediatrician.

    Walk-in hours are:

    • Monday through Friday 7:30am - 9:00am

In rare instances, we will exceed the capacity of accommodating all the patients who show up at walk-in and we will need to ask patients to instead schedule an appointment.  We make every attempt to staff our walk-in clinic according to seasonally anticipated needs. We hope to minimize having to turn patients away but please be understanding if we have to resort to doing so.

To minimize patient waiting time, we have 4 or 5 physicians working at walk-in on any given morning.  However, additional clinical appointments may be occurring simultaneously.  Be assured, our walk-in is indeed on a first-come, first-served basis.  If another patient appears to have "jumped the line" and be called back before you, it is because they have a clinical appointment and are not a patient at our walk-in.
