Dr. Periard received her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, and graduated from medical school at Wayne State University. She completed her pediatric residency at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Dr. Periard is a Board Certified pediatrician, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves as president of FHPA.

Dr. Periard grew up near Detroit and is an alumni of the University of Michigan women’s basketball team with a degree in Bio-medical Engineering. Before attending medical school, she worked as a Computer Consultant. She is married, has three adult children, and enjoys bridge, exercising and attending sporting events.
